So sorry to hear that, I wonder if my dad did any of them while I was growing up there but certainly he did when they didn’t have the company of people like my grand-moms to help them with the little things.
Like for example, my dad never went into the kitchen, however they lived in Singapore for a few years and since labor is expensive there, my dad and my brother helped out my mom with the dishes. And towards his end, he was applying Vaseline in her cracked foot every night before he slept.
Thank you Grace. We don’t recognize their goodness until after they are gone or we encounter other people who show us how good they have been. Today’s men seem to need good examples and don’t even know where to look. That was the purpose of writing this post

I hear your heart in this. I believe it is hard to be a man in our current cultures.
When our parents pass on, it allows us some uninterrupted space to see more deeply. Blessings.
