The Difference Between Writing & Writers:
Which category do you belong to? Knowing that is important for your own peace of mind
Some days you read Some days you write When you write too much You have less ability to read When you read something It inspires you to write something else Writing is not a writers recluse Writing is not a hobby Writing is a necessary evil Like speaking and thinking Reading and listening Writing is not only for writers It’s for everybody The distinction between writers And others is this: Writers write to sell their writing Either for money Or for ideas worth distributing They usually work hard To make it attractive to the audience By dressing it up nicely And making it look pretty to their readers Everybody else writes To bring out what’s stored inside of them Like organizing your home or room or desk Or cleaning up the kitchen after cooking To un clutter your thoughts And restore wellness to the mind Don’t confuse writing with writers Understand who you are first Then do what must be done! You can share your writing with others On social media such as Substack But that doesn’t make you a writer Just because you decided to share your work Know where you stand And then decide What you want to do with your writing And why Think about this! Peace ✌🏽

This gave me a lot to think about over my coffee this morning. There is a distinct difference, and they are two completely different forms of work. I also think we can oscillate between the two.
there is a bit of difference. most writers dont write to sell. it is their form of expression / search that flows through them in the form of words. when the world realizes, accepts, resonates, circulates then it becomes their writing that is sold. Best is Tolstoy. He is the best writer but never wrote to sell or made it attractive.
