I saved a baby squirrel once! I called it Edgar, so now I call all squirrels Edgar 😂It had fallen out of it’s nest with a sibling and I thought they were both dead until I heard this crying like a puppy. It was this little baby squirrel! I ran home and got something to put it in and called the humane society and they had me bring the squirrel in so that could take care of it. I hope Edgar is out there living it’s best life ❤️

This was such a tender read — I could almost see the chipmunks darting through the white strawberries. There’s something so quietly moving about how you tied that tiny moment to love itself~

I didn’t. That’s the point. I get the words out of nowhere. I was also wondering where I am going with this, while I was just noting down all the words that came down to me. And in the end came the Aha moment! Thank you for noticing!

This piece feels like a warm memory whispered gently into the wind. Shalini’s words carry the softness of a quiet afternoon, where tiny creatures chipmunks, maybe squirrels become symbols of wonder and tenderness. There’s something deeply human in the way she recalls their presence, not just with detail, but with emotion. The strawberries, the spearmint, the baby bunny tucked beneath leaves it’s all painted with love, with the kind of attention we give only to moments that truly touch us. Her reflection on why these tiny beings warm our hearts is quietly profound. It’s not just about animals it’s about how fleeting beauty can leave a lasting imprint.

Yes, they do and bring back warm memories with them when something reminds us of those memories tucked away for this moment!

Someone I know once found a newborn baby deer seemingly abandoned by its mother. The sweet little baby was all alone. My friends did their best to care for this little baby by bringing water and tender grass, all the time worrying about what they should do to ensure the little deer’s safety.

With time they learned that mother deer leave their babies alone for their own protection. After the birth, the mothers carry a strong scent that can attract predators. The baby is left alone for a couple of days until the mother’s scent is gone. Then she returns to reclaim her baby.

The deer that my friends found was reclaimed by her mother after a day or two. Until then, they enjoyed this precious little baby and did their best to look after her.

Sweet story, Shalini! Babies of all kinds are such wonderful gifts to the world.

Yes, and what a lovely gift for your fiends to enjoy the baby for two days!

Babies are cute so their fathers won’t kill them.!

Hmm. I never knew that! Makes sense!

I read an article about it once, didn’t follow the science though, so I don’t really know!

No problem. Thanks for sharing. Always good to know new facts, though they sound strange to the ears sometimes!
