Yes Satush, ideally we should be satisfied with what we do simply because we put the effort to do what we did, I get what you’re saying.
But the heart still wants to be seen, heard, acknowledged and appreciated.
When we do what we do unto God, we don’t usually expect anybody else to know or appreciate.
For instance, when we give donations to the poor, the Bible says let your left hand not know what your right hand is doing.
So, basically that means, we don’t give to the poor and needy for the sake of showing off our generosity but we give because God gave us first.
So, when we give for the right reasons, we do not expect to be seen, heard, acknowledged or appreciated or valued due to that.
We only give because we want that appreciation from the Lord.
Perhaps, we have to apply the same principle to everything else we do also.
Perhaps then we won’t seek appreciation from man.
And perhaps then, we would not bring upon bitterness in ourselves when man fails us!
