Be elastic

Flexibility can take you a long way
Rigidity can only break your bones
Will power is good 
but will power over what 
is the question 
that needs to be pondered

Elasticity can bounce back easily like a ball
Rigidity is like a bat
once broken 
mending may be too hard
if not impossible

Being light and easy in life 
and living can take you places

To be elastic is to be free
free of tensions 
free of sorrow 
free of systems that can be cruel 
hurtful and mean 

Being elastic defines tenacity 
Grip something easily and tightly 
without breaking 

Being elastic also means 
you can be stretched 
Stretching is good 
It makes you flexible and fun
You can run
walk
jump
skip and 
hop all at once 
Without needing to breakdown from it 
And puff and pant for water in the end

Elasticity doesn’t mean no tension 
It means the tension can be put to good use
Transform potential energy to kinetic energy in seconds 

Being elastic means being easy to bend 
Stretch 
Bounce back 
Life can be enjoyed and smoothened 
at every twist and turn 

Everybody needs a lesson in elasticity 
Elasticity is what makes the earth go round and round the sun without stopping 
How elastic are you?

Everyone is born elastic
That’s how we stretch and grow
From 21 inches to 6 feet tall
For some perhaps even more

It’s only those that surround us 
That we grow up with
In or through
That make us rigid 
Sometimes even up to forcing others 
out of their cars and vans
Breaking windows
Windshields 
Sometimes even setting fire 
Throwing missiles 
Launching rockets 
Instead of making peace 

Rigidity is not defined by one person 
It’s the company of many 
that have been taken into custody 
through false propaganda 
False religion 
Assumptions 
Conspiracy theories 
And so on

Are you rigid 
Or elastic

Does your life smell like roses and fun 
Or stink like farts and pigs?

Elasticity is modesty in action 
The ability of knowing yourself 
Without thinking too much or too little 
Just enough and just right 

Elasticity is the ability to hold the tension 
And make it work for us
Instead of making it burst into flames 
Burning whoever it falls on

Elasticity is the ability to travel 
to the moon and back 
Holding the tension 
The fire
The potential 
And the zeal

Do you have the elasticity in you

Elasticity is molding oneself 
To fit to the demands
And needs 
of a pre-shaped cookie cutter mold
Sort of like putting molding clay into the shapes
And stretching them out to fit it

The elastic person bends herself into shape
To fit into somebody else’s mold
Simply because society defines it
And demands she do this 
But the very act is what makes her elastic
And what fitted itself into cookie cutter molds
Can un attach itself 
when understanding hits the forehead 
And draws her out from the mold 

But this very act will also make her realize 
How very flexible she is
Which will lead to do the same for herself 
Once again with purpose 
Into pre-shaped cookie cutter molds 
And work her way out of it once again 
To make her own mold 
That won’t ever need pre-shaped molds 
That’s elasticity in a nutshell 

Elasticity is the ability 
To be rolled out as thinly as possible 
And stretched out as far as eternity
Without breaking 
Cracking
Or fizzing out 
Into holes 

Do you have that kind of elasticity in you?
Then you can win the world 
No need to rule it 
Just fit into it like into the  
Cookie-cutter mold

If you’re so elastic 
You can breathe easy 
No need to climb stages 
The world will be at your feet
