When I think of you, I feel warmth, kindness, and good intentions. I believe that you are using your writing to uplift the spirits of others in your own unique way. Our beliefs are different in some ways, Shalini, but I think of you as someone who can help me learn tolerance and respect for those who see the world in a way that doesn't exactly line up with mine. I also feel someone who wants me to be happy. I wish the same happiness for you, Shalini. Your heart is pure and your intentions are honorable. I respect you and am glad I've found you on Substack.

You wrote this like someone finally sliding their heart across the table and saying, “Here, take what’s true and leave the rest.” It’s bold in its softness, almost mischievous in how it dares to be this honest. There’s a sweetness in how you hold your own feelings steady, and I loved the way it settles into peace without losing a bit of fire.

Thank you Asuka. How nicely you have enhanced it! Almost like looking at it through a magnifying glass to make sure it’s flawless and a real diamond! Thank you. This is amazing! I’m honored!

This isn’t a poem it’s a soft ache wrapped in honesty. Shalini doesn’t beg to be remembered with love; she simply hopes not to be remembered with bitterness. Her words carry the quiet dignity of someone who has felt deeply and is ready to name the space between two hearts without drama, without blame. There’s tenderness in the way she imagines your muscles relaxing, your eyes softening love, here, is not possession, but presence. And when she says, “Let’s name this thing and leave it at that,” it’s not resignation it’s grace. A farewell that doesn’t erase feeling, but honours it gently, one breath at a time.
