Can you give so much without asking or expecting anything in return?
Can you love so much that you give up everything to the person?

And if you give up all that is yours to another 
Then are you in control of yourself anymore?

Do you want to give up everything 
to that someone in your life?
Will you be comfortable doing that?

What if that someone assumes 
that he is in control of you then
And starts behaving like such 

Do you want him to dictate 
your every action 
Do you want him to be the director 
of your life’s script 

Do you want to follow his every word
Like a dog 🐕 on a leash 

Tell me
Is giving up control of yourself 
Really the aspiration 
Of falling in love with someone 
And having a really good time with them

Or is it just another something 
To brainwash them
Or you perhaps 

Is it a strategy to keep you on the leash 
Looking up to them for direction 
as they please 
Think about this

What is love really
What does it mean to you

Is it submission 
To the one

Or freedom to choose 
to live as you please 
However that means 
While also enjoying this person 
For who they really are
