Learning Ah, Let’s Think!

What is learning?
Is it going to school?
Studying math 
Language arts
Science
And social studies 
Ah yes! 
That can be considered learning for kids
But is that learning complete?
Not really

Learning arises when what you have read 
Goes beyond your mind
Into your heart
Where it then takes rest

Learning occurs when what you read about 
And what you encounter
Become two different things 
And starts confusing

Learning makes progress 
When the mind asks questions 
That the heart is unable to answer
And the heart feels hurt 
due to what it encounters

Learning makes waves
When the heart starts dictating 
And the mind starts obeying 
Unhappily at first 
Then moves beyond that 
And starts seeking its attention 
With every thought that arises 

Learning is not learning 
Unless the heart and mind are in sync

Learning is complete 
When the heart instructs 
Dictates 
And leads by example
And the mind agrees 
Understands 
And follows like a dog on a leash 

Learning is learning 
When the thing that is learnt
Makes the heart feel
And the mind delight and squeak

Learning is surrounded 
By warmth 
In waves 

Learning is a part of 
the design 
of the universe 

Learning not complete 
Can bring about destruction 
Confusion
And lots and lots of pain on earth 

Have you been learning?
Is it complete?
Then you are ready
To take on the world
And do it justice 

If not go to a corner
Sit quietly 
Watch everything happening 
And take it all in
Then learn
