When I think about life 
How it all comes together
How the words flow into my presence 
Waking me up at night 

There’s never a wrong that can happen 
It seems it’s all good
But morning can wait by itself 
It has to come unannounced 
And show itself in plain sight 

It wants to present itself 
As if she is a lady
Beautiful and Precious 
She walks in gently 
And it dawns on you 
How easy it is to fall in love with her 
Because she brings the light for you 

But morning doesn’t stop there 
She brings the afternoon 
Who starts beating down the heat on you
There’s hits and misses
Temptations and kisses 
Children and mistakes 
Or just cupcakes 

Afternoon then brings evenings 
Now everything seems to take root 
Dusk is an exciting time 
A time to look forward to the night 
Just as if twilight isn’t enough 
There’s plenty to look forward to
Plenty of choices to take 
There’s heaven and hell waiting for you
Ready to open up shop and take their place 
Twilight can be fun for all involved 
Or twilight can lead to the night 

And night can be a fantastic time 
Or it can be sad and lonely 
Dying and desperate 
Or enjoying in peace and silence 
Night can last way too long 
And can come swiftly 
To take you away to deep slumber 
Or painful groaning shifting tossing and turning 
All depending on how you interacted 
With the morning noon and evening 
When the sun was still out 
And light and life was one and the same 

The saga of life can come to an end 
At night 
or it can go on until it’s morning again 
It all depends on whether you took 
Two steps forward and one step back 
Or if it was two steps forward 
And three steps back 

If it’s still morning in your life 
Or perhaps noon
What are you gonna do with it?
Twilight is fast approaching
You still have plenty of time 
to do the right thing 
That can take you to the moon 
And back in time and in peace 
Take it?
Or leave it?
The choice is yours 
Choose wisely

and morning can be fun 
If you approach it respectfully 
Take it out early 
lay down all your cards 
Sort them wisely 
and talk openly honestly 
And make a collective decision

In spite of being new here
And knowing nobody in particular 
Second in the crops 
Of strangers and strangeness 

So I wake up 
sit up and write 
And I go back and forth 
as I keep getting inspired 
to write and present 
morning noon and evening
