Truth & Lies
Truth is we don’t need to depend on anybody and if we are still dependent on somebody or thing that means we haven’t discovered the truth about ourselves yet!
Truth and lies
Truth is
We are not dependent on anybody
For our happiness
But our conditioning—
The way we were brought up—
Be it at home, school, work or any place else
Is the reason why we are unable
To depend on ourselves first
But seem to need another to lean on for life
Take away the crutch
And we begin to falter
As if we were walking on one foot
And can’t really stay still
Or in balance
But it is not so really
All it means is that
We haven’t learnt the art of balancing
On one foot
Until we have figured out
Where our other foot went
All of us are bestowed with passions
Somethings that will make us squeak
And squeal
And dance in delight
When we encounter them
My passion is my love of learning
Finding and figuring out
The deepest truths of existence—
What makes us who we are
Why we encounter the sorrows of life
And so on—
And so I try to pursue them
And every time I learn new things
That I didn’t know before
I squeak and squeal
And dance in delight
It happened just now also
What happened?
I’ve been tormented for the past one year
With dependency
I had been leaning on somebody at first
Then on Substack
But couldn’t find satisfaction in either
And so I understood
I had to leave them both
But how?
I didn’t know that
Enter Bhagavad Gita teacher
Who encouraged me to read the Gita Vahini first
And another person on Substack
Who encouraged me to read Ramana Maharishi also
And Jiddu Krishnamurthi as well
And voila,
My perfect potion for my energy
Got created for me between them
And as I read and encounter truths
That I didn’t know existed
Right in front of my eyes
Euphoria!
The Eureka moment!
Have you encountered that?
What I learned?
I don’t have to depend on anybody
Or anything at all
I can be perfectly happy with myself alone
Like my 6 year old enjoys playing in the bath water
With her bath toys
Singing to herself enjoying her bath
Find your niche!
Stop depending on others!
Doom scrolling only means one thing
That you haven’t encountered yourself yet!
So, set aside sometime
To spend with yourself
And get to know yourself
Once you are self sufficient like the sun
Then you can shine your light also
Then you can enjoy others in peace
Without having to lean on
Or drag onto
Anybody around you
Think about this!
Peace ✌🏽

Truth is not dependence but discovery of the self. Conditioning teaches us to lean, yet balance lies within. We falter when the crutch is gone, but faltering is learning.Passion is the hidden foot that steadies us.
Delight in learning becomes proof of inner strength. Teachers and texts guide, yet joy springs from solitude.
Like a child singing in bath water, happiness is self‑made.Doom scrolling is estrangement from one’s own soul.
Self‑sufficiency is radiance, not isolation. When we shine like the sun, we share peace freely.
Shalini, you showed up here like a little sun with homework — dropping revelations and squeaking your way through philosophy, and honestly? It’s adorable. The way you stitched Gita, Ramana, and Krishnamurthi into your ‘perfect potion’ made me grin. You sounded like someone who finally found the switch to her own lighthouse and went, ohhhh, so it was me all along. Loved the spark in this.
