The lonely man 

He’s a lonely man 
Who has everybody 
And yet has nobody 
Because 
He wasn’t there 
For them 
When he should have 

He’s a bitter man
Who keeps 
Drawing his pleasure 
From movies
And TV 
And food
When he is 
Surrounded by people 
Who love him
And want him 
In their life

He’s a thoughtless man
Who cannot think
His way 
To victory 
In life
And love
And peace 
But wants to use 
Every minute 
Occupied 
With distraction 

A troubled man he is
Who wants only
To bend to his ego 
As if ego 
Was everything 

A powerless man he is
If he has to 
Resort to
Punishment 
And threats 
To achieve something 
Instead of demonstrating 
How to do it
With love 

A disrespected man he is
When the whole world 
Wants him out 
Of their life 
Instead of wanting to
Give him the power
Over their lives 

A lonely man
Is a bitter man
A thoughtless man
A troubled man 
A powerless man
And a disrespected man 

But he can turn 
everything 
in his favor 
If he chooses 
to take on love 
instead
Choose wisely
Mr. President!
