The beak of a bird As it chirps As it feeds As it stops at my fence and looks around Makes it so interesting As it picks up its food One by one Piece by piece It makes it so loving The beak of the bird They call it bill Not sure why But some bills are worth craving Think Pelican Or toucan Or flamingo Or mango What! it’s a beak too isn’t it Shaped like one So beautiful ! And while we are talking about beaks Let’s talk about the wood pecker Have you heard it peck peck peck away At wood? It is so sweet! If you heard it, you would know what I am talking about The beak of a bird Stands in front of it It is so important for the bird It helps the bird to fish for food While it’s standing tall among the reeds I am talking herons here! The beak of a bird Symbolizes victory It symbolizes courage It symbolizes importance What’s important for the bird The beak of the bird Is used to pick food Is used to defend itself And give it the ability to fly through wind seamlessly How many thoughts went into the design of the beak of a bird? How many more into blood and bones and veins and nerves? And when they fly together in pairs What beauty What joy It brings to the heart! Think about this! Peace ✌🏽
Such a lovely piece! I will never look at a bird the same way again.
Beautiful poem. And more beautiful that you saw the beauty in a beak. How wonderful to recognize that awe.
