After succession comes ascension
Succession inherits
Ascension follows
Succession can also be a good follower
Good followers always ascend next
Succession doesn’t mean success
Ascension doesn’t mean ascent
When we follow guidelines
We can ascend above ourselves
We can keep succeeding
And live contented lives
The Bible, the Bhagavad Gita
These are books that teach us
How to conduct fruitful lives
Such that at its end
We can also ascend up to heaven
To a status above the world
Inherit heaven
Become one with God
Live in His kingdom
Succession and ascension
Are what we are born for
Say the scriptures
But it won’t just happen
By closing our eyes
And saying “I believe”
That’s only the first step in the process
We have to go deeper until we understand
Until we get the essence
Squeeze the juice out of the pulp
Then we have to drink the juice
And make it become part of us
The juice has to go in
And get digested
The nutrition that comes with it
Has to be get extracted by our organs
It has to be sent to all parts of the body
Such that the nourishment is complete
Only then the body will get its food
To continue to live
And able to function as it should
Effectively
Efficiently
And essentially as its function dictates
Memorizing the scripture verses
And saying them by heart
Won’t do unto you anything
I can recite the Ten Commandments from memory
But do I follow them all perfectly?
That’s the question I have to ask myself
And if the answer is yes
Then I can look forward to succession and ascension
If not
I am also doomed
To inherit another life on earth
Which may or may not be as man
And may or may not be up to my liking
Hell doesn’t necessarily mean a place on fire
That’s a rendering given by man also
Not the scriptures
If you have not fasted enough
To understand
What hunger and starvation means
If you have not suffered enough
To understand
What poverty and lack means
Then consider yourself gifted
And use your resources wisely
To share with those who do not have enough
If you don’t do that
Even a camel can pass through a needle’s eye
But you will have no hope
To reach God’s abode
After this life ends
Succession and ascension
Are important concepts to consider
While you live this gifted life on earth
Please for your own sake
Think about this
So you can be in peace ✌🏽 always!
