Sin? What?
What is Sin?
The Bible appears to suggest that sin is disobedience to God. Adam the first man sinned and so was banished from heaven! Really? How many times do your children disobey you? Can you banish them from your home for disobedience? How many times have you disobeyed your parents? Did they banish you from their home for disobedience?
If God did, why didn’t you? Or they do? Why did you just punish and then gather them back to you? Was your love to your children superior to God’s love for Adam, his first creation? Could it be? Think!
Then the Bible says that Cain killed Abel but before he did that God warned him: Sin is crouching at your door. It desires to have you but you must rule over it. Cain couldn’t rule over it in spite of the warning. So he killed and the result? He was also banished! Wait what? You get the same punishment for eating a forbidden fruit from a tree and you also get the same punishment for killing your very own brother whom your parents love? How does that make sense? All sin is sin ok! But there is no greater or lesser sin? Really? Who wrote this?
And if God indeed wrote this, why do we feel that eating an apple from a tree is not as bad as killing a brother? Didn’t the same God write into our hearts what is good and evil? Think!
So what is sin really?
In my opinion, sin is all those things which harm a person. If you indulge in thoughts that are going to harm another person, even you yourself, then that is sin! Period! Now rest!

I love when you talk about the Bible. I love that you question it and form your own opinion and then write about it in a way it invites the reader to do the same. ❤️
