Joy Is For Everybody
What Joys Have You Experienced In Your Life?
This world is made for a lot of people People are not everybody There’s plants, animals, microorganisms as well And everybody is capable of experiencing joy When plants are joyful They look pretty Animals express their joy to us directly Microorganisms that experience joy They make us healthy and happy as well Joy is not confined to individuals That are rich or healthy Or of a certain age or gender Joy is bestowed as blessing to everybody Joy is not happy Joy is a state of happiness That’s many degrees over happy Joy makes one experience bliss As if there is no end to it Certain people and events Can make us experience joy Like having a baby, for instance Graduating from college For working really hard to do so Getting married to a loved one Even seeing a loved one after a long time In person Being able to hug them Kiss them and experience them Can take us to the state of experiencing joy in our lives Waking up from sleep And seeing a loved one who is still asleep beside you Is a mild form of joy Which brings a kind of sweetness to the soul Seeing a loved one after a really long time Like perhaps years for instance That’s a different kind of joy You can’t stop the smile extending from ear to ear For the entire duration of the hour long video call When your son comes back home from college Even if it’s only after a three-month break There’s no joy that can equal that When you can hug him tight to you once again There’s a joy even when he calls you All by himself and goes on and on and on Even if it’s talking nonsense How much more if it is something he did That he’s proud about as an accomplishment! There’s joy even in silly behaviors sometimes Like laughing together along with a big group Over something that’s not even real Like forcing a laughter for laughter’s sake Just to get the body to experience The good effects of laughter for everybody There’s something beyond the ordinary That happens to our soul When we experience joy of any kind It’s very healing It’s incredibly powerful It takes away pain Suffering Tensions Stresses Anger Jealousies You name it Every negative emotion Bent on tying us down to a pothole No matter by who or what That’s acting in the shadows To enable that in us Even a pair of beautiful monarchs Flying at the right time Across your windshield When there is whole host of cars waiting in line Ahead of and behind you Those beautiful orange insects That are chasing each other And flying across yours Can bring about joy in you That can last forever in your mind As a reminder To the power of the Heavenly Father Who sees you And knows you And understands you Everything that you are going through And wants to communicate with you While also amazing you With just a pair of beautiful flying butterflies Chasing each other through the wind Simulating what’s going on in your life And thereby bringing on you explicit joy That lasts forever And something you can keep coming back to As much as you want to do so for life Joy is a blessing from heaven Made especially for you What joys have you experienced in your life That can bring about a lightening of your spirit When you are going through a rough time? How has the universe held you tight And made you wonder With words like ‘I have no words’? Think about this! Peace ✌🏽

Shalini writes with the tenderness of someone who’s truly lived joy in its quietest forms. Her words don’t shout they hum gently, reminding us that joy isn’t reserved for grand moments or perfect lives. It’s in the everyday: a hug, a phone call, a butterfly crossing your path. She sees joy not as a fleeting emotion, but as a healing force, something that lifts the soul and softens the edges of pain. There’s something deeply human in the way she describes joy not as happiness, but as a state beyond it, a kind of spiritual sweetness. Her reflections feel like a warm blanket on a cold day, comforting and deeply personal. It’s a reminder that joy is always around us, waiting to be noticed.
The truth that all are one holds me tightest, and you capture it so well here. <3
