Gratitude Overflows
When life finally provides answers!
When you know you have been selected Among the multitude of people When your life doesn’t conform To the norms of this world When you don’t understand Why you are so different from the world And you don’t understand why the world Can’t see what you do clearly And you keep asking this question Keep wondering what could be the answer What’s the truth behind this mismatch How did you end up like this even When you don’t feel upset That you are unique in design perhaps When you are always curious Always questioning everything restless When you want answers That don’t always align with comfort But go beyond what appears on the surface Deeper and deeper into what lies underneath As if you went drilling Into the mantle of the earth When you make so much attempt Not satisfied with the status quo Then you realize something profound Why did God allow such things to happen to me What part did I play in this mischief Did I not really? How did a God who allows free will Allow me to be so dumb at first So brainwashed, so pitiful So blind to the realities and truths of the world Then it slowly dawns on you Aha! This is why! Because only when you experience life You get to know the truth Only when you go through life But don’t give in to the pressures and prejudices of the world No matter what it makes of you Only when you learn to listen to what’s leading you on forward And don’t look back Or sideways glances Like a runner who focuses only on his track And it appears like you made a pact Even before you got here to earth Because what happened to you You would have never allowed it Unless you knew already Where it was going to lead you Only in remembrance of these What’s happening inside of you internally Even when you’re not awake Or in a place to dictate Only when you add up all these values Subtract what you went through Then you see multiplication Of what is going to happen to you Then you appreciate All that you went through When you finally see it all added up together Subtracted Multiplied And it brings forth results Then you understand When it finally dawns on you You were meant to go through this For clarity’s sake And when that happens When the grey sky of all yesteryears Suddenly turns perfect sky blue With pretty bright and Perfectly white fluffy clouds That adorn you Then you bend down Bow down Overflow In gratitude And that gratitude stays Where are you in your life today? Does it all make sense yet? If not, Perhaps you have to wait A few more years To understand the meaning Of all this. Peace ✌🏽
