Get Up, Sit Up and Write
Ok Why I Do That In The Middle Of The Night Every Night
Get up sit up and write Don’t be lazy I’ve walked hundreds of times down this aisle But still it doesn’t get familiar Or easy to do it To get up, sit up and write You only want to keep sleeping And not get up from the sweet dreams Where you just wrote and finished All of this poetry And it becomes a shock then to know That none of what you wrote in your dream Was noted And you had to write all of it all over again So you get up reluctantly And sit up not really interested In capturing all those thoughts And you really only want to sleep But you also finally understood That if you don’t get up, sit up and write Right now when it flows out you’d lose it forever in your dreams So you get up, sit up and write Every night Reluctantly Without really wanting to do so But also not really wanting to lose it Because there have been days When you lost it to laziness And lost it too to autocorrect And felt miserable when you do finally realized that In the morning Because by then it was too late To get up, sit up and write And you finally understood that Realized that And so you obediently sit up now To capture all those thoughts And write And release them to the world Only then it feels complete Only then you feel complete It’s an accomplishment To get up, sit up and write And you have finally done it Tonight Performance based activity No under performance tonight Thank God That I chose to Get up, sit up and write tonight Thank God for reading this And liking, commenting, following subscribing Whatever you did with it After reading it Even if you didn’t do anything else tonight Except read it Thank you for doing that Thank you for understanding my struggle every night It’s a gift A talent that inspiration flows through me What a privilege But it’s not easy to follow inspiration every night to get up, sit up and write Thank God for the inspiration that I am able to follow Which wakes me up every night Without fail And makes me write Makes me get up, sit up and write most nights Thank God for the inspiration that flows through me Like it did tonight Like it’s doing so now Thank you God And thank you reader I appreciate you a lot Jesus Thank you God In Jesus name I present all this Amen And peace ✌🏽 I just felt compelled to wear my glasses which fell while I woke up to get up, sit up and write And check all mistakes Before I lose it tonight So I got back up Turned on the light Picked up my glasses Wore them tonight Checked and corrected proof read all mistakes So hopefully when I post it It will be understandable So I got back up again Finished the proof reading And the correction that followed Hopefully when I post it in the morning It won’t have any more mistakes Hopefully it will be complete As it was meant to be Thank you for listening This is the end of it I am posting it tonight itself Peace ✌🏽
