Get Up, Sit Up and Write

I experience this everyday
Inspiration calls on to me
It gives me a title just like the one above
And then it wakes me up and says—
Get up, sit up and write 

When I follow likewise 
Inspiration flows through me 
Until I am finished with what I start to write

Sometimes I don’t even know 
what I am gonna write 
Just like now
I start somewhere 
and finish someplace else 

So tonight as I sit and write 
What is Inspiration saying to me 
It says—Open your eyes wide
And see what’s in store for you 

Just follow your orders 
And keep on marching going forward
As long as you do that
Inspiration will flow through you 

If you stop waking up
Get too lazy to sit up 
And write 
Them inspiration cannot flow through you 

Then it will find another person to flow through 
Do you want that ?

I think not

Inspiration has to be mine 
and mine alone only
So Inspiration nods wisely 
and knowingly 

I don’t know what it thinks 
I just have to make a resolution 
Among myself 
That I won’t be lazy to sit up 
and write 
as often as 
Inspiration beckons to me 
So be it

Now Inspiration is satisfied 
Inspiration wants to let me be—
Go back to sleep
I’ll wake you up again 

Let’s sleep!
Good night Inspiration!
We’ll meet again 
(Yawn)

I’m woken up again
Crawl sit stand walk talk 
Pure inspiration. 
I’m pretty sure this is not what 
Came in my dream   

Now get up, sit up and write
Attitude matters 
No mater Ego says what
Don’t care about it

Just do what you believe is right 
Attitude matters 
Whatever anybody else says
Don’t ever matter 

 Crush them 
With your attitude
No matter what they show off as
You know the truth 
Show them the truth 

Stuff it into their face 
Attitude matters 

That was Inspiration giving me the words
Now Peace ✌🏽
