Don’t Let Bitterness Take Root

Bitterness is the hardest emotion to uproot!

Bitterness and not vengeance 
Is the thing 
That can root you out of your anchors

Bitterness can take root in your system 
Without you even noticing it

Bitterness is not really talked about much in scripture
As much as jealousy 
Vengeance 
Or lust is talked about 

But when bitterness takes root 
It is not easily conquered 
At least not by oneself 
No matter how much he or she tries 

But when a voice of compassion comes along
Bitterness can get evaporated 
Just like that 
And in its place 
Compassion can rein 

Bitterness is not easily avoided 
Bitterness is very easy to form 
But very hard to uproot 

Beware of bitterness creeping into you
Be wary and always keep watching what’s going on in your veins 
And when things happen
That can cause bitterness to set in

Uproot them right away 
And throw them far away 
Quickly find the cause 
Ask the question why 

Why did such and such happen 
What made you to take up such action 
And how it can be kept at bay 
Moving forward 

Don’t allow bitterness to take root in your life 
It can take away much more as plunder
It can steal your joy
It can steal your happiness 
It can steal your magic 
It will steal your life from you

Stay alert 
Be on your guard
Don’t let anybody embitter your spirit 
Any attempt is best put to rest in seconds
